Christopher Knorr

Executive Vice President, HOPS Core Technologies

Christopher Knorr currently manages the HOPS Core Technologies team, which works closely with the CTO in developing enhancements to the company's flagship database.

With more than 25 years experience in the IT industry, Chris has served in a wide variety of roles including software developer, trainer, support and pre-sales support specialist, consultant and manager/director. In his 15-year career at HOPS, Chris has touched virtually all aspects of the business, including managing client services, software engineering, application administration and data center operations.

Chris led the effort to create the HOPS data center, which included the planning and installation of electrical and air handling as well as backup power generator installation and maintenance. In addition, he directed the installation of the data center's fire suppressant system, variance monitoring, biometric security installation and network. He successfully led the data center through numerous audits and several extended power outage and disaster scenarios resulting from hurricanes. In addition, he also has a strong background in strategic planning, including risk assessment, disaster planning and capacity planning.

Before joining HOPS, Chris worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for more than 8 years. During that time, he supported and performed consulting services in graphical-based workstations including X-Windows on both UNIX and OpenVMS platforms. Prior to that, he performed training and provided both pre- and post-support for a variety of telecommunications products. Prior to joining Digital, he worked for a number of small to mid-sized software developers.

Chris has a B.S. in Business/Computer Science from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts.
