Christopher Knorr

Chris Knorr has led the internal development efforts for the HOPS Data Processing Engine for the last 15 years. He has been solely responsible for working with HOPS’ CTO to establish the DPE roadmap and oversee all development activities and staff. Chris has been the primary design person for the HOPS Studio development tool that provides analytic staff the ability to build HOPS Seeds implementing complex data processing logic. Chris has been on the forefront of HOPS benchmarking exercises, successfully quantifying the superiority of HOPS data processing capabilities.

During his time at HOPS Chris has held other positions of responsibility beyond his stewardship of the DPE code, including significant time as the head of the operations staff for HOPS hosted solution data center. Prior to HOPS Chris worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, providing a solid base of understanding of computer system configuration and tuning that has served him and HOPS well as he successfully led HOPS through numerous challenges.

Chris has a B.S. in Business/Computer Science, graduating with honors from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts.
