Christian Bass

Senior Vice President, Strategy and Planning

As Chief Operating Officer, Christian Bass works with the CEO and executive stakeholders to define and steer HOPS' vision for the future. He provides leadership to the productivity process by coordinating initiatives and maximizing resources and employee time in order to create an effective project management organization. Christian also helps identify new opportunities, market changes and competitive threats in light of company strategy.

Christian has 17 years of organizational leadership experience through roles in entrepreneurship, technology services, training for international leaders and productivity consulting to executives at some of the nation's largest and most successful companies.

Before joining HOPS, Christian was a consultant with Pcubed, a company honored by Consulting Magazine as one of the seven "Jewels" in North American consulting. He also founded Successant, a consultancy providing practical leadership in executive strategy, decision making and productivity solutions. In these roles, Christian led successful change initiatives for companies in industries that included defense, energy, finance and IT.

Prior to management consulting, Christian was the Director of Academic Technologies for George Washington University. There, he delivered services to 28,000 clients, while also creating innovative programs that transformed Academic Technologies, a "cost center," into a multi-million dollar, revenue-generating service provider. In the process, he crafted unique deals with Dell, Inc., opening new national marketing opportunities for the company.

Christian graduated with honors from Presbyterian College, earning a B.A. and was a recipient of the Dean's Award for Management of Science in Project Management from The George Washington University.
